(BEDFORD) – The City of Bedford Board of Works and Safety will hold a special meeting on Thursday at 4 p.m. at City Hall in the Mark E. Scherschel Sr. Council Chambers.
The special meeting is in regards to Bedford Fire Department Chief DeWayne Turpen’s request to step down. Mayor Sam Craig is requesting that Chief Turpen be appointed Battalion Chief.
Also during the meeting, Mayor Craig is expected to appoint Battalion Chief John Hughes as the new fire chief.
