Diner in Sullivan Destroyed in Fire

(SULLIVAN) – A diner in Sulivan was destroyed by fire Wednesday evening.

Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom says the state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.

Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at Old 41 Diner on North Section Street at 5:20 p.m.

Sullivan City Fire Department, Thunderbird Fire Department, Sullivan City Police, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, and SCAT ambulance all responded to the scene.

When firefighters arrived the building was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were unable to enter the building due to extreme heat.
