Bedford Woman Caught Stealing From Walmart

(BEDFORD) – A Bedford woman was issued a summons to appear in court on a charge of theft after a Walmart employee caught her stealing.

On Sunday, an employee notified a loss prevention employee that a female who had stolen items from the store in the past had entered the store, said Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore.

The loss prevention employee witnessed 48-year-old Cindy Vance place several items in her shopping cart and proceed to the self check out register.

“The employee witnessed Vance scan several items and pay for them, but disregard paying for most of the other items in her cart,” said Chief Moore. “Vance was stopped and detained until officers arrived.”

Vance was issued court summons charging her with theft.
