New Initiative Helps Indiana’s Hispanic and Latino Learners Obtain Education and Training Beyond High School

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Tomorrow, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education will launch Padres Estrellas – translated as “Star Parents” – a new initiative that uses parents as partners at the local level to increase access and attainment to higher education for Hoosier Hispanic and Latino Families.

The Kickoff and training will be held at the Indiana Statehouse.

The Padres Estrellas will connect with schools, neighborhoods and community partners and focus on helping students and families enroll in the 21st Century Scholars program and the Next Level Jobs Workforce Ready Grant.
