(BLOOMINGTON) – A fire damaged a home on in the 5400 Block of Fairfax Road on Friday.
Firefighters were dispatched to the residence at 4:07 p.m. and they found smoke coming from the home.
The fire was found in the kitchen area of the basement. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, but there was smoke damage throughout the home.
Monroe Fire Protection District was assisted by Van Buren Fire Department, Ellettsville Fire Department, and IU Health Ambulance Service Bloomington.
