(BEDFORD) – Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department detectives are investigating a possible drowning.
According to the police log, officers were alerted to the drowning in the 6260 block of Tunnelton Road after receiving a 911 call at 2:32 p.m. Friday.
Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department first responders and an ambulance along with officers rushed to the scene.
The caller told police they found the female who is in her 40s lying facedown in a bathtub full of water.
The male caller let the water out of the tub and pulled the woman out. The woman was not breathing and had no pulse. The caller was in the process of doing CPR.
Sheriff Mike Branham said no foul play is suspected and the incident remains under investigation.
