(ORLEANS) – The deadline is fast approaching for entries in this year’s residential Christmas Lighting Contest, sponsored by the Orleans Chamber of Commerce.
The contest is open to all residents of Orleans and anyone living within a five-mile radius of the community.
Entry forms may be found inside The Progress Examiner or can be picked up from Orleans Town offices and must be completed and turned in to the Chamber or town hall by NO later than Friday, Dec. 13. Nominations may also be emailed to historicorleans@netsurfusa.net
Participants may enter their own homes or nominate the home of someone else for consideration. Judging will take place on the evening of Sunday, Dec. 15th anyone participating in the contest is asked to have their outdoor decorations fully displayed during the hours of 6 to 9 p.m. on that date.
Prizes will be awarded for the best overall decorating.
