Teen Arrested after Running from Bedford Police Officers

(BEDFORD) – A Bedford teen was issued a summons to appear in court after he ran from Bedford Police officers early Tuesday morning.

According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, an officer saw three males walking in the area of 14th and K streets at 1:43 a.m.

“The officer circles the block and saw the males and one took off running,” says Chief Moore. “Officers located the male and identified themselves and the male continued to run after being asked to stop.  After a couple of blocks officers finally caught the male.”

The male said he ran because he was violating his curfew and he had a tobacco product.

The male was issued a summons to appear in court on charges of resisting arrest and possession of a tobacco product and released to his parent.
