Fall Foliage 2019: Brown County ‘Leaf Cam’ is Back

(BROWN CO.) – The Brown County Leaf Cam is up and provides an overhead view of the trees from a Bean Blossom overlook.

The camera, which refreshes every 15 minutes, can be zoomed in or out by users to get a better look at specific parts of the treetops. From sun up to sundown, visitors can visit this website to see the autumn scenery.

Unfortunately, if you visit the site now you are greeted by a sea of green.

The good news is the colors should be turning vibrant reds and yellows. Officials say colors should peak between November 2nd and November 19th. But no prediction tool is 100 percent accurate.

SmokyMountains.com has created a 2019 Fall Foliage Prediction Map, which shows central Indiana’s peak fall foliage. This tool is meant to help travelers better time their trips to have the best opportunity of catching peak colors each year.

Other leaf viewing spots in Visit Indiana’s top five include Indiana Dunes State Park, Clifty Falls State Park, Turkey Run State Park, and Indiana University.
