Warden Neal stated, “The offenders assisted in raising the donation via special event food sales.” He continued, “Staff at Indiana State Prison helped identify the local organizations to benefit from the donations, and chose CCH.”

According to James Musial, the organization began in 1991 with a homeless shelter and expanded 10 years ago with the addition of a former rectory retrofitted to accommodate families for 30-45 days.   At Grace Learning Center, adults are provided with 9-10 weekly classes which include: ABCs to Self-Sufficiency, parenting, job readiness, GED and computer skills.  Many of these programs are provided through collaborative efforts with other organizations in the community.
