  • 6:40 a.m. Medical emergency in the 10 block of Collins Trailer Court. A male had a severe nose bleed
  • 6:55 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Springville Elementary
  • 6:57 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Heltonville Elementary
  • 7:06 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Fayetteville Elementary
  • 7:18 a.m Report of an erratic driver in a older Ford Ranger northbound on State Road 37 from Oolitic
  • 8:26 a.m. 911 call reporting a break in in the 600 block of West Kirkwood. Bloomignton Police were alerted
  • 8:28 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 446 and Mundell Church Road. A female was arrested on marijuana charges and issued a speeding ticket
  • 8:37 a.m. Theft in the first block of Vista Drive. A welder was stolen
  • 8:52 a.m. Medical emergency in the 210 block of Mount Pleasant Road. The caller can see his father in the floor but can’t get into the home
  • 8:57 a. m. Theft at Mitchell Manor. The caller says $168 is missing from a resident’s room
  • 9:54 a.m. Deputies were out at the Lawrence/Orange County lines for a transport
  • 9:57 a.m. Follow up investigaiton at Budget Inn
  • 9:58 a.m. Request for animal control to the 640 block of Stonington Road for a stray cat in a trap. The cat was taken to Humane Society
  • 10:31 a.m. Report of a fire in the 280 block of BNL Drive. There was a problem in the kitchen, but there is no fire at this time. They can’t get the alarm off
  • 10:36 a.m. Request for animal control to the 220 block fo Hickory Heights Circle for a stray dog
  • 10:37 a.m. Domestic fight in the 1520 of Spencer Pike Road. The caller says he was in a fight with his grandson. Then police received a second call saying the grandfather has dementia and there was no problem. The caller’s son-in-law called police and requested to speak to an offier
  • 10:43 a.m. Request for animal control to the 30 block of Greenhill Addition for stray cats
  • 10:51 a.m. Report of a suicidal male in the 1420 block of I Street. The male was taken by AMR ambulance to IU Health Hospital Bloomington for a mental evaluation
  • 11:03 a.m. Request for animal control in the 60 block of Brick Street. A dog in poor health was running around. The dog was taken to the shelter
  • 12:19 p.m. Repossession in the 1010 block of Grandville Lane
  • 12:29 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 910 block of Walnut Street
  • 12:56 p.m. Request for animal control to the 20 block of Indian Trails for a dead cat. Animal control does not handle dead animals
  • 1:13 a.m. Report of a battery in the 1520 block of Spencer Pike Road. The person was on station to file a report
  • 1:51 p.m. Medical emergency at Bliss Place. A person was having trouble breathing. An AMR ambulance responded
  • 2:10 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 2920 block of Mitchell Road

  • 2:34 p.m. Report of an errratic driver in a blue pickup with a trailer at State Road 37 and Monroe County line
  • 3:01 p.m. Report of a harassment in the 500 block of Trinton Circle. The caller says multiple vehicles have been following her from her home and she believes it is her neighbors. She request extra patrols
  • 3:14 p.m. Report that a truck went through the 270 block of Hayes Road and pulled down utility lines
  • 3:18 p.m. Animal control requested to the 380 block of Rariden Hill for stay cats being dumped and there are now probably 10 on his property
  • 3:23 p.m. Request for animal contrl to Trinton Circle for three dogs running loose
  • 3:27 p.m. Request for Shawswick VFD hazmat to respond to the 70 block of Shawswick School Road for a fuel leak from a school bus
  • 3:42 p.m. Protective order violation in the 310 block of North Sixth Street
  • 4:20 p.m. A male was on station about having his girlfriend removed from his property. The male says the female punched herself in the face and then threatened to call police to say he hit her. The female broke a television and other items in the home. The male was told to seperate himself from the situation and call 911 if it happens again
  • 4:22 p.m. Warrant service on station
  • 4:27 p.m. Report of a large tree branch in both lanes at East and Bossert streets
  • 4:37 p.m. Follow up investigation at 4 Points Auto
  • 5:02 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1140 block of West Warren Street. An 81-year-old female fainted
  • 5:15 p.m. Followup investigation inthe 1420 block of I Street
  • 5:46 p.m. Citizen assist in the 220 block of Tarry Park Lane. The previous tenant stole the applianes from the home and caused extensive damages
  • 6:05 p.m. 911 in the 2420 block of 16th Street. It was an accidental dial
  • 6:24 p.m. Disabled vehicle at US 50 East, east of Leatherwood Road
  • 7:17 p.m. Dispute in the 300 block of Wells Avenue. The caller says her daughter has left her kids with her for several weeks and now is trying to pick them up. The father now has the children
  • 7:18 p.m. Report a 20-month-old child was bitten by a dog and being treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. The child was playing with a chicken when the dog attacked the child.
  • 7:31 p.m. Officers made extra patrols in the 1250 block of Springville Judah Road
  • 7:47 p.m. Trafficstop at State Road 37, north of Rariden Hill
  • 7:55 p.m. Officers made extra patrols in the 1490 block of East Oolitic Road. The homeowner had been granted full custody of her granddaughter and the girl’s parents are driving around the neighborhood and harassing her
  • 8:07 p.m. Report of a vehicle pulling a trailer on US 50 East and Stars Boulevard and the driver keeps flashing LED lights at those behind him
  • 8:22 p.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle in the 860 block of Spencer Pike Road at Oak Grove Church. The Pastor stopped and spoke to the male driver who said he was just using the phone. The Pastor would like an officer to check on them and if they were still there to ask them to move on. The vehicle was gone when police arrived
  • 8:27 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37, south of Old State Road 37
  • 8:31 p.m. 911 call at the Monroe Dam. Monroe County Police alerted
  • 8:38 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37, north of Old State Road 37
  • 8:42 p.m. Domestic fight in the 410 block of Red Hill.. The caller received a phone call from her sisiter saying she was fighting with her husband and it had turned physical and moved to the street
  • between the husband and a neighbor
  • 8:45 p.m. Report of three boys outside of a house in the 310 block of West Warren Street throwing rocks at a house and yelling profanity and racial slurs. It was the homeowner’s children and she will handle the situtation
  • 8:47 p.m. Report of an open door at the Marion Fire Barn
  • 8:57 p.m. 911 call in the Oolitic bottoms near the flea market. The caller says there is no longer a problem, the unwanted female was leaving
  • 9:04 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a green car northbound on Farm Road and driving on the wrong side of the road.. The vehicle turned on Glory Lane
  • 9:10 p.m. Lift assist in the 470 block of East Grissom Road. A 91 year old female need transferred from a wheel chair to her bed
  • 9:15 p.m. Report of a suspicious person in the 810 block of Carter Avenue. A male was looking into people’s houses. Police could not locate the male
  • 9:46 p.m. Traffi stop at State Road 37 and State Road 60
  • 11:02 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Washboard Road
  • 11:08 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a red PT Cruiser westbound on US 50 from State Road
  • 11:58 p.m. Medical emergency in the 500 block of Ninth Street in Oolitic. A 73-year-old fell

Incidents – Oct. 3

  • 1:02 a.m. Report of a loud noise like an explosion or gun fire at Sunny Slopes Circke and Stone Crest Drive. The caller is unsure where the noise came from but believe it was at Hickory Heights Drive. Officers spoke to Duke Energy who was working in the area and changing a transformer which caused the noise
  • 1:03 a.m. Medical emergency in the 100 block of Walnut Heights Road. A person fell and suffered facial injuries
  • 2:23 a.m. Report of a cow on the side of the road at at US 50 East, a mile east of Plaza Motel
  • 3:14 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Doc Hamilton Boulevard. A summons to appear in court was issued for driving while driver’s license suspended
  • 4:56 a.m. Traffic stop at Lawrenceport and Mill Creek Road

  • 2:18 p.m. Property damage accident at US 50 West and D&D Star Stop
  • 2:39 p.m. Property damage accident at North Third and West Oak streets in Mitchell
  • 5:17 p.m. Accident with injuries in the 3370 blocck of Erie Church Road. A male crashed his moped
  • Stat Flight responded and transported the male to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis
  • 5:32 p.m. 911 call reporting an accident on 29th Street. Bedford Police were alerted
  • 5:17 p.m. Accident with injuries at US 50, west of D&D Star Stop. Shawswick VFD responded
