(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Housing Authority conducted its monthly meeting on Thursday afternoon at the Hauck House.
All of the board members were in attendance and provided updates on projects being conducted at the Hauck House and Hamilton Courts.
The roofing project at Hamilton Courts is the major project being undertaken at this time.
Bids for snow removal are also being accepted at this time. The contract is for a two-years, and the bid specifications are available at the Hauck House in Bedford.
The Bedford Housing Authority will be applying for a grant through the Department of Housing and Urban Development for the installation and purchase of dual carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. Housing and Urban Development is focusing on health and safety during their inspections. The total cost of the project is approximately $30,000. This project will include the Hamilton Courts location because there are no carbon monoxide detectors there now and new ones are needed at the Hauck House.
The grant application is due by October 25, 2019.
