Safety Seat Clinic and More at Sipes Body and Glass Saturday

BEDFORD – Find out if your child’s car seat is being used correctly and meets current safety specifications at a Free Car Seat Clinic Saturday at Sipes Body and Glass at 1001 Seventh Street.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will check your child’s safety seats. Parents or caregivers should bring the child with them to the inspection.

No appointment is necessary, inspections are free. Inspections will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis and take about 45 minutes to complete.

Car seats that do not meet safety standards will be replaced with a new car seat while supplies last.

The car seat clinic is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bedford Police Department officers will be fingerprinting children during the clinic and a fire truck will be there from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will also be a bike giveaway.

The clinic is sponsored by Sipes Body and Glass, St. Vincent Dunn Hospital, State Farm agents Wayne Fugate, Judy Macy and Brent Maudlin, Farm Bureau agent Mike Hopper and Dr. Jim Sowders.
