  • 5:36 a.m 911 call in the 110 block of East Vine Street. The person was attempting to shut off their phone
  • 5:43 a.m. Request for animal control at State Road 54 West for three dogs running loose on the road. One appears to be dead with two large white dogs running around it. Police went to the owner’s home on Phillips Lane but were unable to get anyone to come to the door
  • 6:31 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a silver Chevrolet northbound on State Road 37 at the Oolitic light
  • 6:49 a.m. Report of an incorrigible 13-year-old female in the 1140 block of North 8th Street in Mitchell
  • 7:25 a.m. Alarm sounding in the 1860 block of McFadden Ridge Road. It was set off by accident
  • 7:27 a.m. 911 call at BNL High School. The caller says they hit the emergency button when exiting his vehicle

  • 3:37 p.m. Threats reported. Community Corrections is relocating a male from a home in Bedford and his wife is threatening to follow him from Community Corrections to learn his new location. The male has threatened to kill his wife if she follows him. Community Corrections is just wanting to make police aware of the situation
  • 3:49 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a red Ford Taurus westbound on Grissom Avenue

  • 5:23 p.m. A male says he was leaving McDonald’s in Mitchell and overheard an employee arguing with a male and the male state he as going to :kill everyone in there.” The male that made the statement left in an old Chevrolet pickup
  • 5:42 p.m. Traffic stop at US 50 East at Stonegate. A citation was issued for speeding
  • 5:47 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1900 block of Burton Cemetery Road. A 77-year-old male was coughing up blood
  • 5:53 p.m. Traffic stop at I and Fifth streets
  • 6:09 p.m. Traffic stop at Stars Boulevard and East Boyd Lane
  • 6:12 p.m. Traffic stop at US 50 East and Leatherwood Road. A citation was issued for speed
  • 6:17 p.m. Report of an unwanted female in the 40 block of Wray Court. The woman left after police arrived and is clear she is not wanted at the property
  • 6:25 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1900 block of Bartlettsville Road. A 73-year-old fell
  • 6:33 p.m. Traffic stop at US 50 East at Life Tabernacle Church
  • 6:48 p.m. Traffic stop in the 1910 block of US 50 East
  • 7:08 p.m. Request for animal control to the 320 block of Pinewood Drive. The caller says her neighbor’s dog attacked her dog. The caller is transporting her dog to an Indianapolis vet
  • 7:35 p.m. 911 call in the 80 block of Graves Addition. It was an accidental call
  • 7:41 p.m. Medical emergency in the 120 block of East Frank Street. A 55-year-old male was having trouble breathing
  • 7:44 p.m. A caller reported her 8-year-old male child is hitting and swinging an ax
  • 8:11 p.m. Agency assist at Fifth and Monroe streets in Orange County for a large fight in progress. Orange County advised to disregard the request
  • 8:20 p.m. 911 call from Walmart. It was an accidental call
  • 8:22 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1360 block of Burton Cemetery Road. A 66-year-old male is having trouble breathing
  • 9:27 p.m. Medical emergency in the 500 block of Avoca Eureka Road. A three-year-old was having a possible allergic reaction
  • 9:56 p.m. Request for a welfare check in the 2790 block of Rabbitsville Road. The pastor of a local church received a Snapchat message from a female who says she is going to kill herself. Her parents were alerted and stated the child is in therapy and will take measures to keep her safe
  • 10:10 p.m. Medical emergency in the 550 block of South 11th Street. A 17-year-old female was having trouble breathing
  • 10:33 p.m. Agency assist with Indiana State Police at Mitchell Road at the Marathon station
  • 11:48 p.m. Report of a suspicious person in a car in the caller’s driveway in the 960 block of Trenton Circle. The caller says there was a male attempting to get into her younger 14-year-old sister’s bedroom window and took off running when she honked her horn. Police were unable to locate the male and will make extra patrols
  • 11:56 p.m. Request for animal control to the 8370 block of State Road 54 West for an injured duck in the roadway in front of the Avoca post office. The duck was removed from the roadway and put down

Incidents – Sept. 10

  • 1:52 a.m. A resident in the 900 block of Leatherwood Road reported he has no water at his home and everything on his side of the meter checks fine and he is up to date on his bill. East Lawrence Water was alerted
  • 2:40 a.m. Alarm sounding in the 110 block of Arrowhead Trail. The building was secure
  • 3 a.m. 911 call at Warren and North Fourth streets. It was disconnected. The person called back and reported someone had “jumped her and a friend” and then drove off in a vehicle
  • 3:18 a.m. Officers were out with a vehicle at Hancock Avenue at Burris Elementary
  • 3:44 a.m. Agency assist in the 600 block of Leatherwood Road. The caller reported a water main break. The caller from North Lawrence Water says the homeowners are highly agitated and the male homeowner says his wife has a shotgun pointed at the repair crew from inside the house. ISP responded
  • 4:04 a.m. Agency assist at 17th and N streets
  • 4:13 a.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1210 block of North Pike Road. A male was parked in the caller’s driver in an older red truck with a dog carrier in the back. The truck was towed and the male arrested

Accidents – Sept. 9

  • 7:48 a.m. Property damage accident at Main Street at the Shell station in Mitchell. A car went off the roadway and struck a pile of gravel
  • 5:53 p.m. Property damage accident at State Road 37 and US 50 West
