Interpretive Programs at Spring Mill State Park

(MITCHELL) – The following is a list of interpretive programs happening at Spring Mill State Park.

Have you met the snakes at Spring Mill State Park Nature Center? Today at 4 p.m. join Sara outside of the Lakeview Activity Center as she introduces you to two native Indiana snakes.

Trail 2 at Spring Mill State Park

Tonight at 7 p.m. Hit the Trails to Hike at the Activity Center. The moderate hike will include Trail 2, Trail 14 and Trail 1. The two-mile hike will take about an hour to complete. This is a great way to unwind from a hectic week.

Snot Otter

On Saturday at 11 a.m. there will be a Salamander Social. Meet with Sarah in the Lakeview Activity Center’s amphitheater and learn to identify Indiana’s endangered Snot Otter and make some salamander slime.

Virgin timber at Spring Mill State Park

On Saturday at 3 p.m. take an Old Growth Hike. Meet Chris at Twin Caves parking lot for a hike through the karst landscape and virgin timber.

Turtles sunning at the lake at Spring Mill State Park

On Sunday at 2 p.m. join Christ on a Trail 5 hike. Meet at the Lakeview Activity Center for a hike around the lake to experience the sights and sounds of nature. The 1-mile hike is rugged.
