The Indianapolis Children’s Choir Reveals New Season Lineup

(INDIANAPOLIS) –The Indianapolis Children’s Choir (ICC), one of Indianapolis’ most recognizable music education and choral organizations, begins its 34th season, with concerts starting this October.

Season tickets are on sale now and available at www.icchoir.org/concerts.

The 2019-2020 Indianapolis Children’s Choir 34th season will be Joshua Pedde’s fourth season as artistic director, featuring his unique style of programming that puts energy and excitement into every ICC performance.

“I’m looking forward to starting this year with such a talented group of young people,” Pedde said. “This season, I want to continue to create concerts that fill our audience with joy, but also our singers, as this is their opportunity to grow through music.”

In its 34 years, the ICC has grown from two small choirs to one of the largest choral organizations of its kind, with nearly 20 choirs and many music classes. Serving approximately 5,500 young people from ages 18 months to 18 years, the ICC strives to foster both personal and social growth in the lives of its singers. The ICC impacts nearly 2,500 singers in its choirs and classes weekly. The organization also serves approximately 3,000 through its Innovations program, which directly supports music in local schools. ICC singers have traveled to and performed on six continents and have performed in some of the world’s most recognizable venues and events.

This year’s season will focus on instilling a new sense of joy, hope and community, both in ICC singers and in the audience. Ticket sales for the 2019-2020 ICC concert series help support the mission to inspire student achievement though quality music education.
