  • 5:26 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Spice Valley Road
  • 6:21 a.m. Report of unsafe shooting in the 890 block of Thompson Lane
  • 6:13 a.m. Report of a suspicious black vehicle parking in the roadway with a male inside at Kenwood Addition Road
  • 8:20 a.m. Alarm sounding in the 1860 block of Spencer Pike Road. It was a false alarm
  • 8:47 a.m. 911 call reporting a male with a box knife at the Hauck House and hallucinating
  • 8:47 a.m. Request for animal control to the 3020 block of US 50 East for cattle near the roadway
  • 9:12 a.m. Request for a welfare check at US 50 East and Ferrell Gas for a car parked in the middle of the roadway and an elderly female with her arms outside of the vehicle trying to flag motorist down. The caller stopped and the female says everything is fine but the vehicle is still in the middle of the road
  • 9:37 a.m. Request for officers to make extra patrols in the 560 block of Lower Leesville Road
  • 9:39 a.m. Document service in the 240 block of Mahan Road
  • 10:26 a.m. Threats in the 80 block of Gun Club Road. The caller says her boyfriend was making threats to kill her and she jumped out of the vehicle while they were stopped at the stoplight at State Road 60 East. The caller request to speak to an officer. The female was given a ride to Arby’s in Bedford
  • 10:29 a.m. Request for animal control to the 4090 block of Tunnelton Road for two dogs running loose
  • 10:58 a.m. Report of an erratic driver eastbound in a white semi with an empty flatbed trailer at State Road 54 at Springville
  • 11:11 a.m. Medical emergency in the 470 block of Grissom Road. A 95-year-old was ill
  • 11:16 a.m. A person was on station to report the theft or possible lost license plate from the 270 block of Sadie Lane
  • 11:16 a.m. A person was on station to report the theft of multiple items by family members in the 110 block of Mundell Estates. The male does not want to file charges but does want a protective order and is requesting extra patrols during the night
  • 12:16 p.m. Request for animal control to the 3920 block of Dixie Highway to check on a beagle who looks in poor health and not been fed for a while. The dog had water and shelter at this time
  • 1:05 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 80 block of Gun Club Road
  • 1:08 p.m. IU Health Hospital emergency room reports treating a person bit by a dog in the 2420 block of Bud Stipp Road. The patient will be going to Bloomington Hospital for wound repair
  • 1:09 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 1420 block of 22nd Street
  • 1:51 p.m. Request for animal control to the 740 block of Fayetteville Road for the caller’s neighbor’s three dogs that have attacked other dogs in the neighborhood and killed kittens
  • 1:53 p.m. A resident in the 380 block of Leatherwood Road reports their building was trashed and is unsure what had been taken but request to speak to an officer
  • 2:41 p.m. Report of an erratic driver northbound in a silver SUV at State Road 37 at the Judah junction. Monroe County Police was alerted
  • 3:08 p.m. Medical emergency in the 20 block of Steven Earl Road. A woman fell and can’t get up
  • 3:10 p.m. Document service in the 120 block of West Vine Street
  • 3:40 p.m. Citizen assist in the 480 block of Middle Leesville Road. The caller says a male is at her door requesting her to call police about a dispute at his home. Officers responded to the home and spoke to the male who suffers from mental health issues. The male was gong to stay at the Super 8 in Bedford and left the scene
  • 3:48 p.m. A person was on station to report the theft of a firearm that was taken about eight months ago without his permission
  • 3:53 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 170 block of Mundell Estates
  • 4:01 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 230 block of Mundell Estates
  • 4:21 p.m. Citizen assist at Terry’s gas station in Mitchell
  • 4:22 p.m. Report of a suicidal male in the 660 block of Motocross Road. The male had left the home. Police stopped the male and spoke to him
  • 4:36 p.m. 911 call in the 120 block of Yockey Estates. It was a pocket dial
  • 4:39 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Stevens Lane
  • 5:01 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 510 block of Patton Hill Road
  • 5:06 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at Trogdon Lane
  • 5:08 p.m. Traffic stop at Doc Hamilton Road and State Road 37. A citation was issued for disregarding a traffic control device
  • 5:10 p.m. Request for animal control in the 1760 block of Hayes Road. The caller is having repeated issues with the neighbor’s pit bull. The caller found her dog had been attacked and bleeding and this is not the first time
  • 5:50 p.m. Request for animal control to the 400 block of 10th Street in Oolitic for two dogs behind a resident. The dogs look very malnourished and in a cage full of feces
  • 6:10 p.m. Report of trespassing in the900 block fo Lawrence Street
  • 6:16 p.m. 911 call from an unknown location. It was a pocket dial
  • 6:27 p.m. Report of two suspicious males at 11th and Orchard streets
  • 6:31 p.m. A person was on station about an eviction order
  • 6:32 p.m. A woman called saying her husband arrived at her workplace and made suicidal statements. Police went to State Road 158 and Indian Creek Road. Police spoke to the male who agreed to get medical care on his own
  • 6:41 p.m. Request for animal control to the 140 block of Burkwood Hills. The neighbor’s dog attacked her dog in the caller’s yard
  • 6:47 p.m. Traffic stop at West Frank Street
  • 6:47 p.m. Alarm sounding in the 60 block of Carpenter Drive. It was a false alarm
  • 7:05 p.m. Report of a suicidal male in the parking lot of Williams Dam. IU Health says the male was possibly involved in a vehicle crash and is in his vehicle at the dam. The male told police he was driving down the road and for whatever reason his vehicle left the roadway and went into a ditch. The male says his arm is hurting. The male refused treatment of his arm but was transported to IU Health Hospital for a medical evaluation
  • 8:03 p.m. Warrant service in the 890 block of Thompson Lane
  • 8:29 p.m. Agency assist in the 4180 block of US 50 East to make contact with a person that was involved in a hit and run accident in Bloomington
  • 9:17 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a pickup truck with no lights at US 50 West at the Martin County line
  • 9:52 p.m. EMS put on standby for Orange County
  • 10:10 p.m. 911 call in the 20 block of Teke Burton Road. The dispatcher attempted to call back and there was no answer
  • 10:29 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1220 block of West Warren Street. A 67-year-old woman was suffering chest pain
  • 10:41 p.m. Protective order service in the 890 block of Thompson Lane
  • 10:42 p.m. Disabled vehicle at Fayetteville Owen Road and State Road 158
  • 10:44 p.m. Animal control to the 540 block of Bennett Road. For a stray dog aggressive towards the caller’s cats
  • 11:20 p.m. Report of a suicidal female at Williams Dam. The caller says the woman has a small knife and in a dark blue sedan. The caller says the female talked to her therapist for several hours tonight and claimed to want to go to Williams Dam and jump off tonight. Police searched the area for the woman and was unable to locate her. Bedford Police officers found the woman at her home
  • 11:42 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 450 and Stumphole Bridge
  • 11:46 p.m. Officers were out with a vehicle at the Williams covered bridge. The person was playing Pokemon

Incidents – Sept. 4

  • 12:03 a.m. An information report was taken in the 210 block of West Brook Street. The male says he did some work for a man and he owes him $450 and he left a riding lawnmower as collateral. The caller saw the male that owes him money driving slowly by his home and thinks he is coming for the lawnmower
  • 12:22 a.m. House check in the 200 block of Candlelight Lane in Oolitic. The caller says she saw a person on her property
  • 12:23 a.m. Traffic stop at Becky Skillman Way and 16th Street
  • 12:30 p.m. Agency assist in the 2700 block of Sieboldt Quarry Road for an unattended motorcycle at the nature park with no one around. The man was on his way back to the location to get the motorcycle
  • 12:59 a.m. Officers were out with a vehicle in the 1000 block of Vista Drive at the Oolitic water treatment plant
  • 1 a.m. Traffic stop at Old State Road 37 and Guthrie Road
  • 1:57 a.m. Repossession of a vehicle in the 3440 block of West Popcorn Road
  • 3:21 a.m. Disabled vehicle at State Road 158 and Old State Road 158. The vehicle ran out of gas. The driver was given a courtesy ride to a gas station and then back to their vehicle
  • 4:09 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37, north of 16th Street
  • 4:36 a.m. Officers were out with a vehicle at AppleAcres
