Man Arrested After Busting Hotel Window, Stealing Wallet

(BLOOMINGTON) – Bloomington Police arrested a 36-year-old Indianapolis man on Friday after he allegedly stole a wallet from a man’s home and shattered a hotel window.

Police arrested Aaron Wolverton on charges of burglary, possession of meth, possession of cocaine and narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal mischief.

A hotel employee around 10:30 p.m. called police Thursday reporting someone had broken a window, causing around $200 in damage.

Police responded and found the door to Wolverton’s room open. Wolverton was not in the room. Police entered and saw a clear pipe with a white crystal substance.

Then around 11 p.m., police responded to a call from a man who reported he had his wallet stolen from his home on East State Road.

The man told police Wolverton had entered his home through an open bedroom window. Wolverton stole the man’s wallet. The man witnessed Wolverton leave through the door.

After taking the man’s statement, police found Wolverton passed out in a ditch with the stolen wallet.

Police say Wolverton was wearing the same clothes as the man who busted the hotel window.
