(MITCHELL) – Mitchell Community School Corporation is holding a public meeting on the 2019 budget.
The Public Hearing is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 10 at 6 p.m. in the Administration Center at 441 North 8th Street in Mitchell.
The estimated School Operations Max Levy is $2,609,360. The Property Tax Cap Credit Estimate is $207,813.

The adoption of the budget will be at a meeting scheduled on Monday, September 10, at 6 p.m. .at the Administration building.
Following the meeting, any 10 or more taxpayers may object to a budget, tax rate or tax levy by filing an objection petition with the proper officers of Mitchell Community Schools not more than seven days after the hearing. The objection petition must identify the provision of the budget, tax rate, or tax levy they object too.
If a petition is filed, Mitchell Community Schools shall adopt with the budget a finding concerning the objections in the petition and testimony presented.
