(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana State Board of Education (Board) met today for its August business meeting.
Board members unanimously approved continued accreditation for Purdue University Fort Wayne’s Teacher Preparation program.
“Strong programs such as this one are not only an anchor of our state’s higher education foundation but ensure that we are training the next generation of educators to be as prepared as possible,” said Dr. David Freitas, Board member.
The Indiana Department of Education (DOE) updated Board members on the progress of work with the new licensure testing vendor, ETS. State law requires DOE to implement the new exams by September 2021.
The Board will meet next month on September 4, 2019 at the Indiana Government Center South.
