(HANOVER) – Detectives with the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes against Children unit arrested a 30-year-old Hanover man after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

That tip led investigators to the house of Kenneth Whalen III on Grange Hall Road in Hanover.Â
Information gathered during the investigation, along with a subsequent search warrant, resulted in Whalen being arrested on charges of possession of child pornography, a Level 6 felony, and child exploitation – child pornography, a Level 5 felony.
Whalen was transported to the Jefferson County Jail without incident.
The Indiana State Police were assisted by units from the Hanover Police Department and the United States Secret Service.  Â
