Indy Man Accused of Using Kids to Sell Candy in Kentucky

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) – An Indy man is in trouble in for forcing Indiana kids to sell candy for him in Kentucky.

Police in Bowling Green, Kentucky say Shawn Floyd forced a dozen kids to sell candy, sleep in a cramped hotel room, and buy their own meals and water.

The youngest child was 11. In Kentucky, you must be 14 to have a job.

Floyd was arrested July 12 in Bowling Green and the children were taken into protective custody.

Floyd faces 12 counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and misdemeanor count of having a controlled substance prescription not in the original container.
