(UNDATED) – The Support Our Troops Ride organized by Hoosier Hills Armed Forces Families Association is set for Saturday, June 22, 2019.
This is the 10th Annual Support Our Troops & Vets Ride.
Riders will depart from the Indiana National Guard Armory at 2020 19th St. in Bedford, IN.
There is a $25 donation requirement per bike; passengers ride free. Registration is from 9-11 a.m. Kickstands go up around 11 a.m. Riders will return to feast on a BBQ meal.
Last year there were more than 150 motorcycles that raised more than $4,000 to help veterans in various ways. This included sending care packages to those serving overseas and helping veterans in need buy groceries.
“The proceeds from this event help us with the high cost of postage and items we send to our military through care packages and helping veterans and more,” says Kimberly Johnson, who helps organize the event. “We mail out care packages several times a year. Without this event, we could not do everything we do to help our military. Past present and future. Remember freedom is not free.”
