(SULLIVAN CO.) – A murder investigation is underway in eastern Sullivan County, and two people have been arrested.
Police arrested 40-year-old Danny Wilson, Jr. and 40-year-old Renee Huffines, both from Indianapolis, in connection to that murder.
Wilson is facing a murder charge, and Huffines was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, and aiding, inducing, or causing an offense of murder.
The body was recovered after Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department secured a search warrant for the home and located the remains Tuesday.
An autopsy Wednesday by forensic pathologist Dr. Rolan Kohr confirmed the cause of death was a homicide.
Sheriff Clark Cottom says the victim’s name is not being released pending confirmation of identity and notification of family.
More details will be released as the investigation processes, Cottom added.
Agencies involved include the Indiana State Police and the Sullivan County offices of the sheriff, coroner, and prosecutor.
