(UNCASVILLE, CT) – The Indiana Fever suffered their first loss of the season as they fell to the Connecticut Sun 88-77.
Suns’ center Jonquel Jones led the way with a team-high 26 points while teammate Jasmine Thomas added 15 points and seven assists.
The Fever were led by Erica Wheeler’s 26 points and nine assists while Candice Dupree added 20 points. The Fever went only 5-for-16 from 3-point range and were out-rebounded 37-26.
It was Indiana’s first loss in either the preseason or regular season.
Up next, the Fever have their home opener Saturday night when they host the New York Liberty.
