Deputies, State Police Investigate Shooting in Jonesville

(JONESVILLE) – Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies and Indiana State Police arrested a woman on a charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon after a shooting in Jonesville.


Deputies and officers were sent to the shooting at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Jackson Street in Jonesville.
Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers said investigators arrested 51-year-old Vicki Shade, on Sunday afternoon. She was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail.
The shooting victim, who was 49-years-old woman, was listed in stable condition Sunday afternoon in an undisclosed Indianapolis hospital after being flown there by helicopter.
A search warrant was obtained for the location of the shooting. The 300 block of Jackson Street is County Road 950S off State Road 11, south of Columbus.
Sheriff Myers said no further information was being released as the investigation continued.
The Columbus Police Department and Seymour police were assisting at the scene on Sunday afternoon.
