Two Arrested on Burglary Charges

(CARLISLE) – Two people were arrested after police found them leaving the basement area of a home near Carlisle Tuesday night.


The call came in from a residence on County Road 425 East. The homeowner heard strange noises from his basement, left and called 911.
Authorities found 30-year-old Jessica Peterson, of Sullivan and 26-year-old Nathaniel Lancaster, of Linton trying to leave the basement.
The two had stolen cash, jewelry, and other valuables. Lancaster was also found carrying a handgun and marijuana.
Lancaster is charged with burglary with a deadly weapon, theft, possession of a handgun without a permit, and possession of marijuana. Peterson is facing charges of burglary and theft. Both are being held in the Sullivan County Jail.
