Indiana State Police arrested 23-year-old Terry Hill Jr, of Washington, after he surrendered at the Daviess County Jail Monday night.
He posted a $500,000 bail on Tuesday and was released.
Hill, who is also a volunteer girls soccer coach at Washington Catholic, was formally charged with one count of rape, three counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and one count each of child solicitation and sexual battery.
Details of the charges have been sealed after a request by Daviess County Prosecutor Dan Murrie. Court officials say the probable cause affidavit will probably be unsealed sometime soon.
Sheriff Gary Allison placed Hill on unpaid suspension when he was informed about the investigation.
“Once the formal charges were filed he was dismissed,” says Sheriff Allison.
Washington Police Chief Todd Church says Hill was removed from the list of reserve officers.
The Evansville Dioceses says they will not comment on pending cases.
