Sheriff’s Office Drug Investigation Leads To Search Warrant And Cocaine Charges

(SHOALS) – On Thursday, Martin County Sheriff’s Deputies began a drug investigation involving the sale of narcotics in Loogootee.


Corporal Tyler Reed and multiple plain clothed officers with the Martin County Sheriff’s Department saw 19-year-old Zane Sanders of Loogootee selling narcotics to an individual.
After the transaction was completed, officers stopped Sanders and he was arrested and the drugs were recovered. Officers obtained a search warrant for Sander’s residence.
Deputies and officers with the Loogootee Police Department searched the home at 10:30 p.m.

Officers seized 67 THC vape cartridges, 200 grams of marijuana, 7 bags of cannabis edibles, a small amount of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and two controlled substances.
Sanders was arrested on the following charges dealing cocaine, possession of cocaine, dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
