More Than 500 Served At Community Easter Celebration

(BEDFORD) – The Community Easter Celebration on Saturday served between 500 to 600 people at the First Baptist Church in Bedford.

In addition, approximately 150 meals were delivered to those who could not attend.

The Easter Celebration is in its second year, according to Heather Beasley who helped with Saturday’s event, “We wanted this to be a community outreach. And this year, we were able to have a lot of different youth groups involved in the event. In addition, Karston Brim, played guitar, Jillian Chaney, from Bedford-North Lawrence High School provided singing, and Bedford Youth Choir (First Christian Church) sung for the crowd.”

Janice-Nickeo-Pendergrass stated, more than 20 hams, and 13 turkeys’ was consumed.
“With the assistance of several groups and organizations, we were able to serve the community,” she added. “And we
want to thank the First Baptist Church for letting us use their facilities.”

There was a lot of fun activities for the children, with robotics demonstrations, Easter egg hunt, outside activities, and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
