Incidents – March 17

  • 5 a.m. A resident in the 50 block of Herd Lane reported their 15-year-old son took a minivan and left the home sometime between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The caller does not want the boy reported as a runaway or the vehicle stolen and wanted officers if they saw the vehicle to stop it and return the child home. Dispatchers told the caller an officer could not stop the vehicle without probable cause.

  • 11:04 a.m. 911 call in the 580 block of Hert Hollow Road. The dispatcher could hear a female yelling I’m calling the police. then the phone went dead. Dispatch attempted to call back and got a voice message and text the caller. When police arrived the male had left the home. Department of Child Services was alerted because of children in the home
  • 11:08 a.m. Medical emergency in the 370 block of North Helton Road. Marshall VFD responded. The person was not breathing. The coroner and a detective was alerted
  • 11:37 a.m. Lift assist in the 710 bock of West Oak Street. A female fell and can’t get up
  • 11:48 a.m. A person on road crew found a jar of marijuana at the Judah Junction and needs a police officer to come pick it up
  • 12:02 p.m. Medical emergency in the 970 block of South Meridian Road. A person was suffering a stroke
  • 12:23 p.m. Lift assist in the 710 block of West Oak Street
  • 12:37 p.m. Medical emergency in the 100 block of South 8th Street at Flippin Out Gymnasitc, a person was unconcious
  • 12:51 p.m. Controlled fire in the 250 bloc of Art Gallery Road

  • 1:21 p.m. A resident in the 210 block of Bartlettsville Road reported a homeless person is living in her grandfather’s woods and no one is to be there and wants officers to remove all the items at the campsite

  • 1:49 p.m. Tree fire at Old State Road 450 turn right at Trinity Bridge
  • 2:24 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 2610 block of Sanders Lane

  • 2:30 p.m. Report of a red Chevrolet pickup northbound on State Road 37 at US 50 pulling a car trailer with gravel on it and it and the gravel going all over the roadway

  • 7:03 p.m. A male was at the Mitchell Police Station to report he was unable to drop off his child after visitation. He reported they waited for the child’s mother for more than an hour and she never showed up and he has no way of contacting her
  • 7:13 p.m. Traffic stop at US 50 East at the Dollar General store
  • 7:22 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1140 block of West Warren Street. An elderly woman was complaining of pain
  • 7:38 p.m. Request for animal control to the 250 block of Huron Wiliams Road. The neighbor’s goats are out and butting the front door and will not leave
  • 8:09 p.m. Traffic stop at Teke Burton Drive and West Main Street
  • 8:12 p.m. Medical emergency in the 50 block of Lakeside Estates. A person was suffering chest pains
  • 8:17 p.m. 911 hangup from the 510 block of Lafayette Avenue. There was only a 12-year-old at the home and no problem. The officer left his card and requested the mother call him when she returned home
