Purdue Routs Illinois 73-56

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) – The Purdue Boilermakers ran their win streak to four games as they routed Illinois 73-56 on Wednesday night.


Carsen Edwards once again led the Boilermakers in scoring, dropping 23 points while Matt Haarms added 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Purdue shot over 55-percent from the field and didn’t allow a single member of the Illini to reach double digits in scoring. Andres Feliz and Ayo Dosunmu each had a team-high 9 points for Illinois.
The win pushed the 14th-ranked Boilermakers to 21-7 on the season and back into first place in the Big Ten standings. They’ll play their final home game of the regular season on Saturday when they host the Ohio State Buckeyes.
