Sex Abuse Victims May Be Given More Time To Sue

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Hoosiers who were molested more than seven years ago can no longer sue their abusers.

The bill would give victims a fresh three-year window to sue, even if the statute of limitations has expired.
Former Olympic swimming hopeful Jancy Thompson sued her former coach and settled out of court.
She now works as a victim’s advocate, and argues teenagers and preteens often don’t process what happened to them until years later.
