(PISCATAWAY, N.J.) – The Indiana Hoosiers slump reached seven straight losses as Rutgers defeated them 66-58.
The Scarlet Knights used a 22-0 run to rally past IU as Eugene Omoruyi had a 14 point and 10 rebound double-double while Geo Baker had 16 points.
For the Hoosiers, Romeo Langford scored a game-high 20 points while Juwan Morgan added 15 but Indiana was only able to connect on 35-percent shooting and 26-percent from 3-point range.
Head coach Archie Miller tried to find a silver lining as his team’s losing streak reached seven.
“It’s not magic, stick with it. At some point in time, if you keep showing up every day and you keep doing it the right way, eventually something good will happen that can cause a chain of events. I think we will respond.”
If the Hoosiers want to avoid eight straight losses they’ll have to pull an upset on Saturday when they visit the sixth-ranked Michigan State Spartans.
