Bloomington Police Investigating Possible Homicide

(BLOOMINGTON) – Monroe County Sheriff detectives are investigating a possible homicide.


Deputies responded to the 3400 block of Knightridge Road at 1 a.m. after a report of a shooting.
Monroe County Coroner Joani Shields says 43-year-old James Troxal of Bloomington was pronounced dead of the scene. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
An autopsy is scheduled today at 3 p.m.
No one has been arrested, but Sheriff Brad Swain says the public is not in danger and that this was not a random act of violence.
