(BEDFORD) – A Lawrence County highway vehicle was damaged in a two-vehicle accident at State Road 60 East and Thralls Road on Sunday morning.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 20-year-old Isaac Walls of Springville was plowing roads in a county-owned 2004 Sterling L70 and was traveling east on Thralls Road approaching the intersection of State Road 60 East.
He told police that he stopped at the stop sign before pulling onto State Road 60 to cross over and continue plowing on Thralls Road.
Walls told police he did not see the 1995 Ford Ranger traveling northwest on State Road 60 East.
The driver 46-year-old Trevor Pittman of Mitchell told police he couldn’t avoid the collision.
The pickup was pushed against an embankment before stopping off the roadway facing east.
No one was injured in the crash.
The county highway truck was driveable, but the pickup truck had to be towed.
