Freezing Rain, More Snow Possible

(UNDATED) – We’ve made it through the first snowfall of the year. But Lawrence County officials say another storm may hit our area this weekend.

Freezing rain is possible over northeastern sections of central Indiana Tuesday night as a Clipper moves through the area. Then, another system will bring a chance of snow or freezing rain near and north of Interstate 74 Wednesday night and Thursday.
Finally, accumulating snowfall is possible this weekend as a stronger system moves through the area.
Officials say a winter storm may push out of the southern plains on Friday night and push across Kentucky on Saturday.
This may result in another significant accumulating snow for Central Indiana on Saturday.
Forecasters say it is still too early to determine how much snow will fall. However, current forecast models suggest there will be enough snow to make travel difficult.
