Loogootee Man Injured In Two-Vehicle Accident

(JASPER) – A Loogootee man was injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night on US 231.


According to a Jasper Police Department report, 58-year-old Michael Songer of Jasper was traveling south on US 231 when he turned into the path of a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Douglas Duvall of Loogootee.
Kimberly Bromm, a passenger in Songer’s vehicle, was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital after complaining of chest pain.
Duvall was taken to Jasper Memorial by private vehicle after complaining of chest pain.
Both vehicles were a total loss.
Songer was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
