Indiana State Police arrested 23-year-old Morgan Judy, of Bloomfield, after she was accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male Bloomfield student.
She was arrested in June 2018, on charges of child seduction by a child care worker with sexual intercourse or other sexual conduct with a child, and child seduction by a child care worker engaging in fondling or touching a child 16-17 years old. She posted a $1,400 cash bond and was released from jail.
Lawrence County Judge Williams Sleva was appointed as a special judge in the case.
On Friday, Jan. 4th Judy and her attorney Joseph Lozano entered into a negotiated plea deal with Greene County Prosecutor Jarrod Holtsclaw.
If Judge Sleva accepts the terms of the agreement, Judy will be sentenced to one year in the Greene County Jail with all but four days suspended. She has no credit days for days already served. She will serve 270 days on electronically monitored home detention and perform 100 hours of community service.
She will be on probation for 361 days and must register as a sex offender.
Judy must pay a $100 fine plus court cost, a $250 sexual assault victim fee and a $100 child abuse prevention fee.
