Glenda Sue Bowles – Bedford

Glenda Sue Bowles, 56, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at her residence.
Born October 10, 1961, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of William “Marvin” Bowles Jr. and Angela Rose Bowles.
Glenda had earned an Associate’s Degree from Jefferson Community College. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Glenda was known for her strong Christian Faith as witnessed by her commitment to spreading the gospel and the gift of healing. Glenda gave so much love and attention to her family and all the people who touched her life. She will be sadly missed although she will be reunited with Dad, Natasha, and all those who went before her.
Surviving are her mother, Angela Bowles, of Bedford; four sisters, Janice Somers, Rhonda (Garry) Weldon, Gail (Jim) Moore, and Kelly (Lyn) Hanner; nieces, Alicia Phillips, Kara (Cody) Hearth, Jessica Moore, Abbie Moore, and Ashlyn Hanner; one nephew, Josh Hanner; and seven great nieces and great nephews, Gracie, Lane, Clayton, Makinzy, Maci, Faith, and Brantley.
She was preceded in death by her father, William “Marvin” Bowles Jr., and one niece Natasha Stillions.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Father Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes. Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers are Janice Somers, Rhonda Weldon, Gail Moore, Kelly Hanner, Alicia Phillips, and Kara Hearth.

David D. Craft – Shoals
October 6, 1942 – February 27, 2018
David D. Craft, 75, of Shoals, passed away at his residence on February 27, 2018 at 1:45 a.m.
He was born on October 6, 1942 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to Tandy and Susie (Lucas) Craft. He married Mary F. Quigley on April 1, 1963.
He retired in 1998 from the National Gypsum Corporation after 33 years of service. He attended Crane Village Church.
He is survived by his wife Mary; two sons, David D. Craft II and his wife Lenora, of Shoals, Edward L. Craft and his wife Marlena, of Shoals; one brother, Denver Craft, and wife Helen, of Shoals; one sister Sarah Fay Terry, of Shoals; four grandchildren Stephanie Lynn Garrison and husband Darrell, Sara Lenae Craft, Jessica Elizabeth Ryan and Steven Wayne Young and wife Angel; eight great grandchildren, Bonnie Jo McGuire, Clayton Young McGuire, Iy Leanne McGuire, Jarred William McGuire, Justice Young, Theresa Young, Dominic Young and Alaya Jade-Skye Craft.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Monica Ryan; five brothers, Earnie Craft, James Craft, Edward Craft, Earl Craft, Carlis Craft, six sisters, Paula Halt, Laura Alice Mullins, Edith Taylor, Louise Eperson, Bertha June Hembree and Shirley Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Queen-lee Chapel in Shoals with Bro. Denver Craft officiating. Burial will be at a late date. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at the Queen-Lee CHapel.
The Queen-Lee Chapel of the Thorne-George Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
