John Allen Goldsby – Bloomington
July 4, 1958 – December 13, 2017
John Allen Goldsby, 59, of Bloomington, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his residence.
Born July 4, 1958, in Bedford, he was the son of Carl Donald Goldsby and Wanda L. (Ridenour) Murphy. He had worked as a Stone Cutter for Indiana Limestone.
Surviving are his mother, Wanda Murphy; sister, Terry Goldsby; nieces, Skyler M. Goldsby, Jamie Kung, and Andrea Ferguson; nephews, Chad Underwood and Joe Fiely; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl D. Goldsby; step-father, James Murphy; brother, Joseph Goldsby; nephew, Jeremiah Goldsby; maternal grandmother, Mable Deavers; maternal grandfather, G. Arnold Ridenour; paternal grandparents, Clyde and Nora Ritter; and several aunts and uncles.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m.. on Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, with Phil Thorne officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.

Haley Alexandria Parkes Jenkins – Bedford

Haley Alexandria Parkes Jenkins, 24, of Bedford died at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at her residence.
Born April 8, 1993, she was the daughter of Mark and Valerie (Parkes) Jenkins. Haley was a graduate of BNL High School and had completed one year of college. She had worked at Burger King, Judah Junction and Mr. C’s. She attended Mt. Pleasant Christian Church and Owensburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Valerie Byers and husband, John “Mike”, of Bedford; her father, Mark Jenkins, of Rome, GA; three brothers, Jaydon Jenkins, Devin Byers and wife, Tiffani, and Kyle Byers, all of Bedford; three sisters, Autumn Query and husband, Zac, of Bloomfield, Majerle Davis, of Chandler, AZ, and Brittney Jenkins, of Terre Haute; maternal grandparents, William and Debra Parkes, of Bedford; paternal grandmother, Donna Lundberg and husband, Larry, of Orleans; step-grandparents, John and Patty Byers and Doug and Maxine Hutcherson, all of Bloomington; great grandparents, Joe and Naomi Parkes, of Oolitic; a niece, Harper Byers, of Bedford; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Charlie Jenkins, and maternal great grandparents, Robert and Ada Haley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Hudelson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Visitors are encouraged to wear their Hope for Haley t-shirts. The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Maeci and Gracie Give Back Foundation.

George Frederick “Fred” Harris – Bedford

George Frederick “Fred” Harris, 86, of Bedford, died at 4:25 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Westview Nursing and Rehab.
Born May 17, 1931 in Lawrence Co. He was the son of Pete and Alice(Compton) Harris. He was a graduate of Tunnelton High School with the class of 1949 and a veteran of the Korean War. He married Edith M. Jewell on March 25, 1955 and she preceded him in death on September 21, 2015. He was a postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and delivered newspapers for the Times-Mail. He was a member of the White River Baptist Church and a fifty-year member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include two daughters, Georgeanna Harris and Angela Myers and husband, Brian, all of Bedford; a grandson, Dakota Myers, of Bedford; a granddaughter, Kristy Myers, of Seymour; four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 18th at White River Baptist Church with Kenny
Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the White River Baptist Cemetery with military rites accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m., and from Noon until the hour of service on Monday at the church.

Nancy K. Pace – Bedford
September 1, 1945 – December 14, 2017
Nancy K. Pace,72, of Bedford, died at 12:10 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born September 1, 1945 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Morrell and Ruby (Terrell) Pace. She graduated from Shawswick High School and Anderson University. She was formerly a teacher in the Mitchell Community School System and volunteered at the Church of God Youth Camp and Bedford Little Theatre. She retired in 2007 from the Division of Family & Children Services, State of Indiana but continued to substitute teach. She had also been an Adjunct Instructor at Ivy Tech. She was a member of the Huron Church of God and attended Fairview Community Church. Nancy was an avid lover of dogs. She was a member of the White River Humane Society, the Sierra Club and the National Education Association. Nancy loved traveling and attending sporting events of her many nieces and nephews.
Survivors include a brother, Morrell Pace, Jr., of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews, Cindy Martin (Duane), Jane Vorndran, Patti Dorsett (Terry), David Bunch, Morrell Pace, Jr., Theresa Craft, Nelson Pace (Crystal), Pam Korvela, Sandy Young (Marty), Dennis Pace, Jeff Pace (Bonnie), Karl Pace, Kevin Pace (Wanda), Tammy Hamilton (Bobby), Greg Pace (Andrea), and Aaron Pace; many great and great great nieces and nephews; a special friend, Susie Roberts Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Robert, Everett Mack, Jack, and Roy Pace; a sister, Doris Bunch; two nephews, Philip and Randy Pace.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Randy Corbin and Pastor Lindy Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Mary L. Bruner-Brown, 78, of Williams, died at 9:15 am on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at her residence.
Born December 2, 1939, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Ira Stuart and Mable Ann (Sexton) Capshew.
She married Gerald Ray Bruner and later married John Brown and he preceded her in death. She was a Senior
Records Clerk at Indiana University in the Independent Studies Department, and a member of the Williams Baptist
Church.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Bruner, of Williams and David Bruner and wife, Janette, of Bloomington;
grandchildren, Samantha McFarland, David McFarland, Jr. and Kayla Bruner; great grandchildren, Shelby McFarland
and Maddison McFarland; her twin sister, Martha Price.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson, Justin Kirby; two brothers, William and James Stuart.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter
Mortuary with Bro. Perry East officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 11 a,n, am until the hour of
service on Saturday, December 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
