Nanna Lea Poole – Bedford
December 16, 1930 – May 28, 2017
Nanna L. Poole, 86, of Bedford, died Sunday at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 16, 1930 in Kentucky, she was the daughter of Green Eldridge and Bessie Campbell. She married Clarence Poole on May 10, 1972 and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2009. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Hilltop Pentecostal Church. Nanna enjoyed sewing, gardening, dancing, and fishing, and was a wonderful cook. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Survivors include her children, Renee Quinn of Bedford, Ronnie Prince and his wife Jennie of Tavares, FL, and Larry Prince of Rising Sun; step-children, Greg Poole, Steve Poole, and Suzanne Walker; fifteen grandchildren, Frankie, Jeffrey, Shawna, Larry Jr., Leah, Terri, Michelle, Randy, Kimmy, Ronnie Jr., Brandon, Twila, Jody, Molly, and Jacob; several great grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; Jennifer, Lindsay, Bethany, Adrian, Darren, Julie, Patrick, Michelle, Mindy, Leisha, and Kelly; and companion, Jim Baldwin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clarence; a daughter, Glenda Staley; and a son, O. Wayne Prince.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 1 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Gale Edward “Bunk” Moody – Mitchell

Gale Edward “Bunk” Moody, 77, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, at his residence.
Born November 28, 1939, in Anderson, he was the son of Garnet Floyd and Elva Marian (Gordon) Moody. He married Nora Jean McGinnis July 9, 1980. Gale had been employed in the meat department at Kroger and Jay-C, retired from Ford, and then worked in security at Spring Mill State Park. He graduated in 1957 from Oolitic High School and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Gale was a member of the American Partiot Lodge No. 750 F.&A.M., Spring Mill Lodge Fraternal Order of Police No. 172, and president of Stone City Squares. He enjoyed golfing with his son. He was a veteran of the Indiana National Guard.
Surviving: wife, Jean Moody of Mitchell; children, Gary Edward (Debbie) Moody of Mitchell, David (Christy) Moody of Bedford, Lisa (James) Taylor of Mitchell, Michelle (Mike) Kern of Bedford, Lisa (Brian) Carrico of Bedford, Vicki (Troy) Hamilton of Columbus; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
His parents; brothers, Maurice Moody and twin, Dale Moody; preceded him in death.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Darvin Winters and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. The American Partriot Lodge No. 750 F.&A. M. will conduct memorial
service at 7:30 p.m.
