Barbara J. Beaver – Bedford

Barbara J. Beaver, 77, of Bedford, died at 2:48 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis South.
Born September 11, 1939, she was the daughter of Raymond L. and Anna Mary (Gratzer) Miller. She married Harold E. Beaver on January 18, 1958 and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2014. She had worked at the Coco-Cola Bottling Co. in Bedford until it’s closing. She retired from the North Lawrence Community School Corp. as a secretary/bookkeeper. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include children, Mark (Dana) Beaver, Deborah Beaver, Karen Beaver Jacobsen (Kevin), Jane (Clipp) Crosby, Michael (Stephanie Odaffer) Beaver; grandchildren, Kole and Kori Jacobsen, Elli and Alden Crosby, Nikolas, Owen and Griffin Beaver, also her beloved dog, Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Father Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinhook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Michael Brown Memorial Scholarship c/o Bedford Federal Savings Bank.
