Silva E. Soots – Bedford

Silva E. Soots, 93, of Bedford, died at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the White River Lodge.
Born January 3, 1923, in Danville, IN, she was the daughter of Walter E. and Ida Elizabeth (Alexander) Soots. She retired as a mail sorter for the U.S. Postal Service in California. She loved to garden and enjoyed the outdoors.
Survivors include two nephews, Richard Morgan and wife, Glenda, of Mooresville, Garris Leon Morgan and wife, Marilyn, of Lowell, AR; a sister, Evelyn Morgan of Mooresville; an adopted daughter, Nadene Soots of Louisville, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Orval Soots; a sister, Mary Bell Soots.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Burial will be in the Clear Springs Cemetery in Jackson Co.
