James Edward Collingsworth -Bedford

James Edward Collingsworth, 82, of Bedford, died at 2:14 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016, at CORE Nursing Home, Bedford.
Born December 23, 1933, in Blackwater (Lee County) Virginia, he ws the son of Emmet and Inez (Johnson) Collingsworth.
He worked 16 years at Green Hill Cemetery, Bedford, and was retired.
Surviving are five sisters, Ruby Sage, Paoli, Bobbie (Maurice) Buechler, Mitchell, Georgia (fiancé Dennis) Flick, West Baden, Jerlene (Ron) Tuell, Apoka, FL, and Mary (Dwight) Kinder, Bullhead City, AZ; four brothers, Charles Collingworth, Salem, Kee Collingsworth, Mitchell, Rev. Gerald (Vida) Collingsworth , Magadore Village, OH, and David Collingsworth, Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Betty M. Sellers, and two brothers, Don and Delmo Collingsworth, who died in the Vietnam War.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, with Dr. Riley Walker officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery, Mitchell, IN. Friend may call from 10 a.m. until the service hour on Thursday.
