Margie Hamilton – Bedford
August 8, 1921 – July 24, 2016
Margie Houston Hamilton, 94, of Bedford, died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at her residence.
Born August 8, 1921, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Paterson and Anna (Cummings) Murphy. She married Harold Houston on April 19, 1942 and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1987. She later married Charles T. Hamilton on February 14, 1989 and he preceded her in death on October 11, 2009. She was a graduate of Shawswick High School with the class of 1939. She retired as an office manager for W.T. Grant & Co. She was a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church. She loved music and was the organist at the Jerome Church in Greentown, IN for fifteen years. She had been a part-time organist at Hillcrest Christian Church since 1991. She enjoyed church activities, painting, and sewing.
Survivors include a son, Gary Wayne Houston and wife, Rose, of Bedford; a daughter, Anita Houston Lozano, of Lake Mary, FL; a granddaughter, Shelley Dial, of Zionsville; a grandson, Joshua Houston, of Bedford; a step-granddaughter, Denise Hodges, of Las Vegas, NV; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Wilma Fordyce, of Boothwyn, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, five brothers, Merlin, Harold, Charles Eugene, Fred, and Larry Murphy; a sister, Barbara Little; a great grandson, Elliott Dial.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, July 29th at the Hillcrest Christian Church with Pastor Charlie Scott and Mark Fugate officiating. Burial will follow in the Mundell Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, July 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from Noon until the hour of service on Friday, July 29th at the Hillcrest Christian Church.

Larry lee Stilwell – Mitchell

Larry Lee Stilwell, 77, of Mitchell, passed away at 2:07 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at his residence.
He enjoyed life in spite of coping with Parkinson’s disease for 35 years.
Born February 18, 1939, in Olney, Illinois, he was the son of James Aubrey and Opal Grace (Thompson) Stilwell. He married Mary Alice Poland June 2, 1973. Larry retired with 30 years of service in Crawford County Schools as a music teacher and band director. He graduated from East Richland High School in 1957, and Indiana University in 1963 with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. Larry received a Master of Music degree in 1966 from the American Conservatory of Music. He enjoyed the Lawrence County Checker Club, and playing the piano and harmonica. Larry was a member of the Bedford Free Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Stilwell of Mitchell; daughters, Jennifer Lynn (David) Wiese of Indianapolis, Christa Lee (Matthew) Main of Paoli, Shelly Kay (Matthew) Fish of Bedford; grandchildren, Brooke, Jackson, Lindsey, and Andrew Wiese of Indianapolis, Josiah and Samuel Main of Paoli, Alaina Fish of Bedford; brother, James H. “Jim” (Linda) Stilwell of Mesa, Arizona
His parents preceded him in death.
Martha Lois Tritle – Mitchell

Martha Lois Tritle, 76, of Mitchell, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Indiana University Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born December 30, 1939, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Ralph Henry and Kathryn Pearl (Burton) Nolan. She married Robert Joe Tritle September 20, 1958, and he preceded her in death June 6, 2014.
She had been employed at Carpenter Body Works, Crawford-Morris Lumber Company and retired from Mitchell Motor Sales/Bedford Ford. Martha Lois was a 62 year member of the First Baptist Church and a 1958 graduate of Mitchell High School.
Survivors include her children, Nancy Jo (Brian) Porter of Orleans, Timothy Earl (Vicki) Tritle of Seymour, twin sons, John Robert (Natalie) Tritle of Bedford, Jason Ralph (Angela) Tritle of Spencer; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, and one great grandson on the way siblings, Donald E. Nolan of Mitchell, Judith Ann (Larry) Wood of Ohio, Carolyn Sue (John) Sims of Southport
Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, at the First Baptist Church with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating. Burial will be in Burton Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. till 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the church.

Jerry D. Fox – Bedford
Sept. 17, 1939–July 22, 2016
After a courageous battle with cancer, Jerry (Pap) passed away peacefully at the Hospice House in Bloomington on Friday, July 22.
He was a member of the Local 241 International Union of Operating Engineers and retired from Rogers Group after 35 years. He was also a dedicated NLCS School bus driver for over 20 years.
Jerry thoroughly enjoyed his time farming with one of his best friends, Gary.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; son, Jeff (Marie) Fox of Fishers; Daughters, Kelli (Brian) Prince of Bedford, and Kris (Tom) Allen of Florida; Sister, Shirley Keynon of Mitchell; Brother, Rex (Betty) Fox of Mitchell; Grandsons, Gavin (Jacey) Anderson, Lance Grimes, Camden (Jade) Wedgewood, Landon and Garrett Fox, Jesse and Zach Prince, and Vance Allen; Great-grandsons, Jax Wedgewood, Holden and Rayson Grimes.; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Gavin, Lance, Camden, Landon, Garrett, and Zach. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ed Grimes and Gary Scherschel.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Peggy Fox; his brothers, Thomas Fox and Jimmy Fox.
Services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday July 26, 2016 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Gary Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 pm until 8 pm on Monday July 25th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
