Nellie Mae Mullins – Mitchell
November 6, 1945 – October 16, 2015
Nellie Mae Mullins, 69, of Mitchell, passed away at 11:32 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2015, at Indiana University Health Paoli Hospital.
Born November 6, 1945, in Loogootee, she was the daughter of Russell and Rosa (Sheetz) Kelsey. She married Merle Wilson Mullins October 14, 1984. She was a graduate of Shoals High School, Class of 1963. Nellie served 16 years as a hospice chaplain and was a member of East Oolitic Community Church.
Survivors included her husband, Merle Wilson Mullins, Mitchell; children, Jamie (Marty) Edwards, Mitchell, Sharon (Roosevelt) Smith, Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Gerald (Marlene) Hart, Berea, Kentucky, Lisa (Eddie) Kraemer, Spencer, Chris (Anne) Mullins, Orleans; 8 grandchildren;3 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth (Randy) Chaplain, West Baden Springs, Nancy Chaplain, West Baden Springs, Sandra Hobson, Millersburg, Reta (Herald) Brown, French Lick
Her parents and brother, Jerry Lee Kelsey, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Millard Jones officiating. Burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery.Friends may call from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Doris E. Wagner – Louisville, KY
May 8, 1931-October 16, 2015
Doris E. Wagner, 84, of Louisville, formerly of Bedford died at 8:00 pm on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation Facility.
Born May 8, 1931 in Bedford, IN she was the daughter of Edwin R. and Ella (Gilstrap) Williams. She married Robert Wagner on February 12, 1950 and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2012. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ and enjoyed playing Bridge, knitting, and painting.
Survivors include one son, John Frederick Wagner and his wife Susie of Lancaster, CA; one daughter, Beth Ann Warren and her husband Joel of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Garret McGill and his wife Kasey, of Louisville, KY, Mitchell McGill, and his wife Erin, of Floyds Knobs, IN and Shayna Lambert, and her husband Clint, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; three great grandchildren; four cousins: Myra Gilstrap, Barbara Hodges and her husband John, all of Bedford, Ramona Bartlett and her husband Tom of Lafayette, and Melanie Foster of Oxford, MS.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one daughter, Carmella Wagner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Silverville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Wanda Jean Parson – Shoals
November 8, 1944 – October 13, 2015
Wanda Jean Parson (Ratliff) passed away at 8:21 a.m. on October 13, 2015 at Daviess Community Hospital.
She left her loved ones due to natural causes. She was born November 8, 1944 in Lawrence County. SHe was the daughter of Harold and Nancy ALice Ratliff (Wease) of Bryantsville (both deceased). She married James Vernon Parsons on January 19, 1963. Wanda graduated in 1962 from Huron High School. She was a very dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her home and family very much. She was a seamstress at Edson Incorporated, in Loogootee. She alsw as a loyal follower of Jesus Christ and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in French Lick.
Survivors include her husband James V. Parsons; children Sheryl L. Langdon (Parsons) and husband David L. Langdon, of Bedford, Tampa R. Holt (Parson) of Loogootee, James R. Parsons (Bob) and wife Debra A. Parsons (Gilbert) of Shoals; grandchildren Michael L. Holt, Autumn M. Gibbs and husband Cyrus Gibbs, James D. Holt and partner Kayleigh Lanier, Jared L.P. Langdon, Dakota Langdon, Rachel N. Parsons, Garrett A. Parsons, Evan J. Parsons; great-grandchildren CJ, Ava Gibbs ad Wynter Holt.
She was preceded in death by sisters Annette K McCart and Anita K. Rhodes and brother Jack L. Ratliff, of Mitchell and an infant brother.
Memorial services will be Friday, October 16 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Queen Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Her ashes will be scattered at a later date at a private ceremony. A separate memorial service will be at the Kingdom Hall of French Lick on October 31, 2015.
