Claude Lester Hillenburg – Bedford

Claude Lester Hillenburg, 84, of Bedford, died at 4:20 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born March 30, 1931, in Oolitic, he was the son of Claude J. and Gertrude Cordelia (Ray) Hillenburg. He was a graduate of Oolitic High School with the class of 1949. He was wounded and decorated for valor as a Rocketeer in the 8th Army during the Korean War. He married Wilma Y. Bailey on January 27, 1951 and she preceded him in death on May 6, 2012. He retired from RCA in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Randy J. Hillenburg and wife, Debbie, of Indianapolis; a grandson, Nathaniel Alexander Hillenburg, of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son, Toby Lee Hillenburg; five sisters, Moneva Davis, Ruby Randolph, Lillian Fults, Pauline Webb and Gretna Gilson; two brothers, Earl and Robert Hillenburg.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Lindy Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Mundell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, October 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Patricia “Patti” (Sons) Branaman – Bedford

Patricia “Patti” (Sons) Branaman, 72, of Bedford, died at 12:37 am at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
Born December 7, 1942 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Charles and Betty (Hill) Sons. She married Marvin “Gene” Branaman on September 15, 1961 and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Christian Church. She was a volunteer with the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Dunn Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Kristy Endris and Lisa Brinkworth and husband, Dave; a son, Tim Branaman and wife, Christy, all of Bedford; six grandchildren, Josh, Joseph, Jade, Michael, Hannah and Madison; five great grandchildren, Ben, Eve, Bella and Charlotte Chastain and Emma Endris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Linda Johnson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday, October 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, October 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Josh Chastain, Joseph Chastain, Michael Endris, Tim Branaman, Dave Brinkworth, Joe Jakub and an Honorary Pallbearer, Ed Johnson.

Jimmie Lee Schofield, Sr. – Orleans
Jimmie Lee Schofield, Sr., 49, of Orleans, passed away at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at his daughter’s residence.
Born April 20, 1966, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Richard L. and Katherine Irene (Robbins) Schofield, Sr. He married Debbie Lou Gibson January 18, 2008. Jimmie was employed in construction and was a member of the Hunting Club in Carlisle. He loved hunting, fishing, and any activity outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Schofield, Carlisle; father, Richard Schofield, Sr., Mitchell; children, Elisa “Sissy” (Bobby) Burkeen, Orleans, Jimmie (Amanda Brinkworth) Schofield, Jr., Orleans, Evin Richards, Bedford, Ashley (Matt) York, Bedford, Makenzie Richards, DeKalb, Illinois; grandchildren, Clara Schofield, Jaden Schofield, Caidence Schofield, Aaron Brinkworth, Braylon Brewster, Lillie York; brothers, Richard Schofield, Jr., Huron, Thomas Schofield, Mitchell, Bobby Schofield, Mitchell; sister, Katherine “Sis” Schofield, Tunnelton
His mother preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, October 16, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery near Fayetteville. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
