Elizabeth Ann Little – Bedford

Elizabeth Ann Little, 90, of Bedford, died July 18, 2015 at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born May 20, 1925, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Jesse T. and Louise (Hostetler) Carter. She worked at the Bedford Regional Medical Center in Central Supply for seventeen years and retired in 1988. She was a graduate of the Bedford High School with the class of 1943. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford.
Survivors include a son, Micheal J. Little of West Linn, Oregon; two daughters, Jackie L Wilkerson of Brown Co., Indiana and Cindy A. Babbs of Spencer, Indiana; six grandchildren, Jill Little, Jon Little, Kelly Page, Joseph Wilkerson, Kellan Babbs and Camren Babbs; three great grandchildren; one brother, Jesse T. Carter, Jr. of Oolitic; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, William R. Carter, and a granddaughter, Kate Little.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 4th at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. A celebration of her life will follow in the Family Life Center.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
Robert White Sr. – Bedford
November 22, 1931 – September 29, 2015
Robert White Sr., 83, of Mitchell, passed away on September, 29, 2015 at 4:55 p.m. at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.
Born on November 22, 1931 in Lawrence County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Opal and Leafy Agnes (Burton) White. He married Mary Ann Harder in Bedford, Indiana on April 15, 1955.
Bob graduated from Huron High School in 1951 and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Shoals American Legion Post 61 and VFW Post 8589. He retired from National Gypsum in 1997 and was previously employed in the timer, trucking and railroad industries, Indianapolis Chevrolet Body Plant, Loogootee Products and Mitchell Crushed Stone.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann, of Mitchell; one son Robert White Jr., of Mitchell; four daughters Rhona Beth and husband Tony Earl, of Williams, Cheryl and husband Richard Sutton, of Clay City, Darla and husband Bud Holt, of Shoals, Gayle and husband Jeff Berry, of Shoals, Michelle and husband John Shipman, of Bedford; one brother, James White, of Mitchell, one sister Shirley Howard, of Mitchell; grandchildren Amber and Mike Middleton, April and Chris Garner, Misty Hardwick, Tori and Lee Mullinax, Danna Holt, Allison Carrao, Angela Berry, Bradley Berry, Krystle and Ben Philips, Shawn Emmons and Lillian White; 13 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Corliss Rose White, brother Harold White and sister Ruth White
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October, 2, 1915 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Shoals American Legion will accord military graveside rites.
John L. Denny – Bedford
October 18, 1939 – September 25, 2015
John L. Denny, 75, of Bedford, died at 2:45 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015, at his residence.
Born October 18, 1939, in Bedford, he was the son of Morris “Beanie” Denny and Helen (Pentzer) Denny.
He married Dorothy “Dottie” Fortner on May 26, 1962, and she survives. They were married 53 years.
He was a U.S. Army Recruiter for 24 ½ years, retiring in 1984. John was a graduate of Bedford High School with the Class of 1958; he was a member of Bedford First Christian Church over 50 years; a veteran of the U.S. Army; and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross.
Surviving are his wife, Dottie, of Bedford; two sons, Brian (Sheila) Denny, Bradley, IL and Jeffrey (Denise) Denny, Bedford; two grandchildren, Heather (Jeremy) Robertson and Eric (Fiance’ Brittany) Denny; three great grandchildren, McKeyle, Mia and Maycie; special friends, Shawn (Karen) Deaton, Austin and Shawn Deaton, Jr.; one brother, Marc (May Jo) Denny, Palatine, IL and two sisters, Marian Susie (Guy) Rumsey, Bedford and Julie Denny-Hughes, Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 3, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Pastor Lindy Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Leatherwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
Military rites will be accorded at the grave by members of American Legion, Gillen Post #33, Bedford.
