Dora Lucille Thomas – Fulton
Dora Lucille Thomas, 97, of Fulton has gone home.
All that she possessed by faith is now hers by sight. She was born September 7, 1917 in Monroe County, IN. Her parents, James and Hattie Ritchie; her sister, Gladys Cole; her brothers, Buster and Fred Ritchie and their spouses
precede her in death. Preceding her also are her husband, Arthur Walter Thomas and her son, Jon Marc Thomas.
Surviving her is her son, Richie and his wife Reba of Fulton; her granddaughter, Jessica; her grandson, Justin and his wife Jennifer; and four much loved great-grandchildren.
Dora was a preacher’s wife. She bore that role with dignity and grace. She was famous among her friends as a woman of great faith and fervent prayer. After her husband’s death she supported herself as an employee of the Eaton, Yale, and Towne Corporation. She retired after thirteen years of service to them and membership with the United Auto Workers.
She is preceded in death and survived by legions of friends who would rise up to call her “blessed”.
Friends and family will be received from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford, IN. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Rodney Reynolds officiating. Dora will be escorted for burial to Avoca, IN. She will be laid to rest between her husband and her son in the Hilltop Cemetery, a place blessed by those who wait there.
Due to transportation issues, in lieu of flowers donations to the Alms Ministry of Victory Fellowship church are appreciated.

James Reid Kirkman – Indianapolis
April 26, 1969 – July 10, 2015
James Reid Kirkman, 46, Indianapolis, passed away at 8:35 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, at his residence.
Born April 26, 1969, in Bedford, he was the son of Vernie Daniel and Marsha Carol (Spires) Kirkman. James had been employed at Ashley Furniture and was also a self employed computer programmer.
Survivors include his children, Katie Kirkman, Crawfordsville; Payton Kirkman, Chicago, Illinois; parents, Vernie and Marsha Kirkman, Orleans; sister, Angela Rushing, Boonville; nieces and nephew, Carma, Sydney, and Brady
Friends may call from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Haverly Funeral Chapel. Following cremation, burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Clinton Thomas Ryan – Heltonville
October 31, 1977 – June 12, 2015
Clinton Thomas Ryan, 37, of Heltonville, died Friday, June 12, 2015 at 8:19 pm at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 31, 1977 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Danny and Nancy (Woolsey) Ryan. He was a logger for Indiana Timber and Veneer and was a veteran of the Indiana National Guard.
Survivors include his paternal grandfather, Thomas Junior Ryan of Bedford; maternal grandmother, Mahala Kinser and husband Robert of Bloomington; mother, Nancy Ryan of Bloomington; stepmother, Jami Ryan of Heltonville; sister, Nicole Ryan-Payne and husband John of Bloomington; brother, Christopher Ryan and wife Isha of Williams; sister, Mikayla Ryan Chronister of Bloomington; sister, Corrie Pope and husband Barry of Bartow, FL, niece and nephew, Olivia and Landon Pope; brother, Beau Hash of Worthington; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his; father, Danny Ryan; paternal grandmother, Opal Ryan; maternal grandfather, Babe Woolsey and three aunts, Becky (Ryan) Sears, Tammy (Ryan) Brock and Monica (Craft) Ryan.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:45 pm on Saturday, July 18th at the Deckard Warehouse, 1001 14th Street, Bedford with a balloon release at the conclusion.
